The Commons XR creates a bias-free virtual reality classroom, where teachers can transport their students anywhere the learning takes them. Our unique patent-pending VR and AI platform provide real-time engagement analytics compatible with any classroom laptop or headset and metric software, minimizing any barrier to entry. In this way, we increase engagement and persistence.

Ray Freiwirth

CEO / Founder

Long-time software engineer, former IP Attorney, trying to make a difference in education with our platform and VR experiences. Also working to better the San Diego Startup Ecosystem, as an angel, mentor and innovator.

Sai Ruthvik Thandayam

Employee / Unity Dev

He holds an M.S. in Games and Playable Media From the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as BE from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani India. He has had previous experience in gameplay both as VR projects in UCSC as well as various contracting gameplay development portals.

Esther Brandon

Advisor / Instructor

Esther Brandon is the Digital Literacy Specialist for undergraduate and graduate programs at Brandeis University. She is the instructor of the undergraduate course HWL-60A: Just Google It! and serves as a tutor for K-12 students.
